Addison Charles Klick died peacefully in hospice care on August 14, 2023, at the age.
of 92 at Rowan Medical Center. He was born to Arthur and Berniece Klick on
December 14,1930, in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon completion of high school, he joined.
the United States Navy, where he served as a radio technician during the Korean.
conflict. In 1952 he and Virginia Lee Dungan married and shared life together until her
death in 2010. He was employed until retirement in the field of electrical maintenance.
and upheld full membership in the International Association of Machinists and
Aerospace Workers.
Addison and his wife moved to Stanly County, NC in 2006. He became a committed.
and valued member of the Albemarle Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. While
caring for his wife during a prolonged illness in her later years, fellowship in the
Congregation brought meaning and connection to their lives. Addison's unwavering
faith supported him until his final day, when he was held in the love and prayers of his
Brothers and Sisters of the Congregation. The joys, sorrows, and service that they
shared in faithful community, as well as the blessings of family and friends were his
life's treasure.
He is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Arthur Gaus and
by his son, Michael Charles Klick. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jeffrey Sharp, daughter-in-law Linda Sue Klick, and granddaughters.
Melody Klick, Maryn Myrick (Cody) and Claire Heckel. His nephews and nieces Sharon,
Arlan, and Al Gaus also mourn his loss, as do many friends gained throughout his life.
On Saturday, September 16 at 1:00 a Memorial will be offered by Albemarle.
