Mr. Allen Emerson Jr.

January 23, 1948 — December 26, 2024

Charlotte

The incredible journey of Allen Emerson ended on earth on December 26th in Charlotte, NC. Allen used his own challenges to inspire others and bring hope to dark places. He is remembered for demonstrating the redemptive power of God's grace and impacting generations with his amazing story. Many knew him as Pal and his loving family remembers him as a professional wildman, a king among men, and one who could bring his joy, creativity, and sense of humor to any situation. As a foster and adoptive parent, Allen embodied the spirit of adoption. He leaves behind a legacy of faith and forgiveness and his kindness will not be forgotten by the countless lives he touched. Allen worked in the flooring industry for many years but his decades of labor and ministry to the incarcerated laid a foundation for countless eternal reconciliation stories. Allen enjoyed working with his hands, building elaborate projects for others, and caring for his animals. He is survived by his wife Doreen, sons Scott, BJ and his wife Beth, David, Philip, daughters Heather and April, honorary son Andrew, as well as his best friend and grandson Jorgy. Additionally, he leaves behind his grand-children Emerson Fuller, Jordan, Emerson Oak, four great-grandchildren and many foster children.
