Mr. Andre Antionio Cathey

Mr. Andre Antionio Cathey, age 51, passed away, Monday, January 8, 2024 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. He was born to the late Mr. Willie Ronnie Joe Smith and Shelia Tarver, June 22, 1972 in Rowan County. He attended Rowan County Schools. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Ronnie Joe Smith; two sons, Ke'Andre Cathey and Jaquez De'Andre Hunter Cathey; three grandmothers, Wilma Mae Leach, Barbara Ann Holmes and Mae Bell Smith; grandfather, Lester Holmes (Sun) Bobby Smith; aunt, Annie Faye Mitchell Henderson; four Uncles, Bobby Leach, Larry Leach, Andrew Mitchell, Sr., and Thomas (Doll) Mitchell. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Rhonda Cathey; his mother, Shelia Tarver; three sons, Dre'Kaun Cathey, Dre-ylnn Chunn and Deonte Baker; two daughters, Destiny Kimble and Ashley Holmes; a brother, Jamel Tarver; two sister, Rhea Milton and Andrina Walker; an uncle John (Reggie) Barber; two aunts, Barbara(Nancy)Turner, and Vanessia Leach; Special cousins, Shontell Henderson, James Bailey Jr., and Tajuana Hooker; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
