Mrs. Anne Marie Stapleton

August 16, 1967 - July 30, 2024

Anne Marie Stelter Stapleton, lovingly known as Annie, passed away on July 30, 2024, in Charlotte, NC, at the age of 56 from pancreatic cancer. She was born on August 16, 1967, in Moorestown, NJ, and was the youngest of five children.

Anne graduated from East Carolina University where she met the father of her children and received a bachelor's in business management that brought her to a career in insurance as a property appraiser and manager. She worked and excelled in her career before becoming the devout mother of her three loved children.

Anne was born to the late Francis J. and Joanne M. Stelter and is survived by her three children and ex-husband: Thomas (Gentry) Stapleton Jr., Abigail G. Stapleton, Samuel C. Stapleton, and Thomas G. Stapleton Sr. Anne also leaves behind her loving brother, John Stelter, and was preceded in death by her siblings: Michael, Pamela, and Paula.

Anne was a free spirit with an incredible laugh and a kind heart. She was a passionate mother who loved to dance and sing with her children. Despite experiencing hardship and loss early in life, Anne grew into a person of strength and resilience. She was fiercely independent and proud of who she grew to be. A 'Jersey Girl' at heart, she had a strong personality and a sharp humor. Most importantly, those who knew her couldn't deny the deep love, care and support that knowing her came with. Known for her warm and comforting nature, Anne was always there to lend an ear and provide support to those in need. She had a unique ability to empathize and make others feel heard and understood. Anne's impact on the lives of those she touched was immeasurable, leaving a lasting legacy of love and care. Anne passed peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by the care of her children, brother and Tom and Melissa Stapleton.

Anne Marie Stelter Stapleton will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will be forever cherished.
