Mrs. Annie Price, 85, of Salisbury, NC, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Mrs. Annie Mae Price made her debut January 17, 1938 in Rowan county born to her mother, Willie Mae Smith and her father, Robert D. Kirk Sr. She was educated in the Rowan County School System where she graduated in 1956. She then set her sights on New York City where she was a active member of Second Cannon Baptist Church and worked at the Department of Social Services. Annie Price retired from the City of New York after 33 years of dedicated service.

Mrs. Price  was a devoted mother, godmother, and foster mother to many children that maintained relationships with her throughout her life. A woman filled with genuineness, kindness, and so much love. Selflessness and compassion showed in every task that she took on.

Every Sunday, you could catch her in her best dressed attire with her hat and kitten heels to match. Annie Mae Price loved the church and dedicated many hours to working in Jerusalem Baptist Church once she returned to North Carolina after her retirement.

Aside from her everyday life, she loved to travel. Whether it was hopping a plane or driving to her destination, she was always ready to hit the road. She loved to make memories, especially with her family. She enjoyed laughing and she carried a smile anytime that she was in your presence.

She loved her children and godchildren which include: Delilah Thomas-Hillie (Samron), Jason Hailstock, Deandre Thompson, Larry Walker, Reggie Walker, Keith Walker, Tim Walker, Sandra Walker, Ronald Walker, and Mackenny Stevenson.

Her brother: Robert Kirk Jr. (Andrea).

Her grandchildren: Samron Hillie, Paris Hillie, Myanna Hillie, Kavari Hillie, Demetri Barber, Constance Latham, Gina Still, Dejah Gilliam. Also her great grandchildren: Mylae Hillie, Aria Miller, Ayah Hillie-Segura, Kei'Mari Latham, Kayleigh Latham, and Kasiaha Latham

Her niece: Kim Dixon and a host of loving cousins, friends, and church members.
