Mr. Charles Steven Smith

Mr. Charles Steven Smith was born December 17, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles and Emma Smith. He was called home on September 21, 2022, while at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, North Carolina. He was a member of the United States Army during peace time. He was employed at Cannon Mills for several years and was last employed by JoAnne Johnson as a stable hand. Preceded him in death was his Mother, Emma Fisher; two brothers, Rodney Smith and Aaron Fisher; a sister, Sandra Smith and grandmother, Viola Fisher. Those left to cherish his memory are three sisters, Min. Shelia Bush, Caroline Smith and Rachel Smith all of Salisbury, North Carolina; seven nieces and nephews, Gregory Smith (Jan), Emily Porterfield, Tiffany Smith, Melanie Neely, Jordan Smith all of Salisbury, North Carolina, Bria Bost (Chuante) of Augusta Georgia, and Justin Franklin of Aikens, South Carolina; several great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Service, Wednesday, September 28th, with Visitation 12:30pm, followed by service 1pm, Cedar Grove AME Zion Church, Cleveland, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
