Mrs. Deanna Manns Hughes, 42, of Thomasville, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
Born on May 11, 1982, in Thomasville, North Carolina, Deanna touched the lives of all who knew her with her boundless love, unwavering faith, and remarkable strength.
Deanna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Her life was a beautiful testament to her Christian faith, which served as a guiding light for her and those around her. She cherished her family above all else, and her love for them was profound and unconditional. Deanna's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her beloved Husband Billy Joe Hughes of Thomasville, and her four adoring children: Joseph "Cheyene" Hughes (Beth),Timothy Hughes, Brittany Hughes, and Kimberly Hughes (Allen). She was also a proud grandmother to 13 loving grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and laughter.
Deanna was the beloved daughter of Pam and Frank Culbertson and the cherished daughter-in-law of Ruby Smith. She is also survived by her siblings, Crystal Hughes (Thomas) and Travis Culbertson (Amber), her grandmother, Janice Moore, and a host of loving relatives, including her uncle Lewis Manns (Angie), aunts Teresa and Violet, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law, Jeffery Hughes (MJ) and Jimmy Hughes (Crystal), who will remember her fondly. Deanna was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Dillion Hughes, and infant twins, as well as her father, Gary Wayne Ford. Though her absence leaves a profound void, her spirit and the love she shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her.
A funeral service to honor Deanna's life will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Pilgrim Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. James Messer Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington. The family invites friends to join them for a time of remembrance and support on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pilgrim Free Will Baptist Church 1649 E Center St Ext, Lexington, NC 27292.
In this time of grief, we remember Deanna not only for her departure but for the incredible legacy of love and faith she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
