A smile for all, a heart of gold; one of the finest this world could hold. Never selfish, always kind; the memories she leaves behind……

Mrs. Delois Jean Ivery Reddick, daughter of the late Eugene L. and late Alma J. Rankin Ivery, was born on July 4, 1958, in Iredell County. She departed this life on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House of Statesville, NC.

Mrs. Reddick was a textile worker for many years before transitioning into the hospitality field as a housekeeper. She was educated in the Iredell County public school system. As an adult, Jean attended Cameron Presbyterian Church of Statesville, NC and Antioch Baptist Church of Cleveland, NC. As a young child, she attended the family home church of Mount Tabor, Presbyterian Church of Cleveland, North Carolina.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, James William Reddick, of 38 years; two brothers, Milton and Bernard E. Ivery; two great nieces, Nakia and Lovely Ann Imes.

Delois ("Green Jean," as affectionately referred to by her mother) leaves to cherish the memory of her life, one daughter, Shandra Ivery Tyus (Darren) of Hebron, Kentucky; two sons; Cedarian J. Reddick of Statesville, NC, and William "Mook" Borders of Salisbury, NC; three grandson, TaShon D. Brandon of Portsmouth, VA, DaeVaughn E. Tyus (Dominicia) of Luke AFB, AZ, and Daryius L. Tyus of Norfolk, VA; one granddaughter, Arry'anna D. Tyus of Hebron, KY; two sister, Dianne R. Sanders of Statesville, NC and Shirley I. Black of Mooresville, NC; one brother, Corey L. Ivery (Angela) of Statesville, NC; two nieces, Sedettra R. Bowen (William) of Browns Summit, NC and Chameka S. Spencer (Jonathan, Sr.) of Charlotte, NC; two nephews, Dwight B. Sloan, Jr of High Point, NC and Keshawn Imes of Statesville, NC; one godson, Calvin Caldwell of Mooresville, NC; one Aunt, Ruth R. Rankin of Statesville, NC; a devoted and caring "friend/cousin", Kevin Rankin of Cleveland, NC.

She also leaves her loving Mother-in-law, Mary "Lib" R. Miller of Statesville, NC; two brothers-in-law, John Henry (Teresa) Reddick of High Point, NC and Anthony Reddick of Statesville, NC; eight sisters-in-law, Mary Katherine ("Sissy") Burton of Charlotte, NC, Margaret Houge, Charlette Harrell, Teresa Smith, and Diane Teague of Statesville, NC, Gladys (Kenny) Everhart of Cleveland, NC, Lillian Reddick of Mooresville, NC, and Priscilla (Tony) Wilson of China Grove, NC and a multitude of other relatives and friends near and far. Service Entrusted to Carroll-Waters Funerals and Cremations.
