Ms. Demetria Shintel Neely

Ms. Demetria Shintel Neely, age 28, was born in Rowan County, North Carolina, on October 22, 1990. She is the daughter of John Wesley Neely and Magdaline Peek Austin. She departed this life on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Demetria was a graduate of Salisbury High School and in 2017, she received an Associate Degree as a Pharmacy Technician from Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She received a Team Member Excellence Certificate when she worked at Krispy Kreme Donut 2015. She was currently working at Gildan Cotton Mill Company in Mocksville, North Carolina. She had an avid love for dogs and a great passion for children and traveling. She formerly attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Virginia Peek and Henry and Laura Neely; a aunt, Martha Carter; a nephew, Chriszaeon Vincent. She leaves to cherish her memories; her father, John Wesley Neely; mother , Magdaline Peek Austin; two brothers, Adam Austin of Salisbury, North Carolina and Victor (Donna) Torrence of Mooresville, North Carolina; two sisters, Desere'e Austin of Salisbury, North Carolina and Cora (Chris) Johnson of Troutman, North Carolina; two nieces, Desjinae Outlaw and Dajoni Bush; four nephews, Wilbur Lefler of the home, Dajon Bush, Marquis Glaspy and Jaquel Glaspy; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and dear friends. Funeral arrangements are Saturday, October 5, 2019, with visitation at 2:30pm, followed by memorial service at 3pm, Tower of Power United Holy Church, 601 E. Cemetery Street, Salisbury.
