Mrs. Dorothy Jean Johnson

Dorothy J. Johnson, 67 of Salisbury, NC, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at her home. She was born October 15, 1956 to Robert Lee Bellamy and Dorothy Bellamy in Rowan County, NC. Dorothy Johnson attended R. A. Clement and West Rowan High School. In her younger years. She enjoyed dancing, singing, cooking, and making new friends. Dorothy was a chef at Holiday Inn, V.A Medical and the Farm House. Dorothy always had a smile on her face and love watching horror movies, westerns and wrestling. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dorothy; brother, Raymond Bellamy. Those left to cherish her memories are, two sisters, Elizabeth Miller (Raymond Miller) of Salisbury NC and Carrie B. Young of Statesville, NC; two aunts, Florence Clark of Detroit, MI, and Barbara Dorty of Salisbury NC; Nephew, Marcel Bellamy (Tosha Bellamy); four nieces, Noui Bellamy, Amanda Chalk (Dwon Chalk), Katia Booker (Corey Booker), and Kristina Young (Traci Young); A host of great nieces and nephews. Special acknowledgment to her great nieces, Kiara Bellamy, Ke'Shaun Bellamy and Kalian Oglesby Bellamy who went above and beyond their duties in her time of need. Special thanks to Katia and Kyra Booker for all the love that was given. We want to express gratitude to her attendant Mona Parker, and her amazing friends Cassina Davidson, Brenda Gresham, and Sarah.
