Elder Eric Maurice Johnson

Elder Eric Maurice Johnson, age 40, was born on January 18, 1978 to the late Mary Mr. Melvin Baker and Elizabeth Johnson, in Philadelphia, PA. Eric departed this life on March 15, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem, North Carolina. Eric attended and graduated from Bartram High School located in West Philly. As a young boy he enjoyed working in the church. Eric served on the usher board and song in the choir. Eric was an active member of New Redeemed Apostolic Faith under the leadership of Pastor & Lady Riley, where he served faithfully. He was a licensed Minister and was ordained as a Elder a few years later. Eric Johnson really enjoyed ministering the Word of God, working in the church and in his community with the youth. Eric affectionately known as the Pastor giant was willing to help anyone he could. He really loved helping people and he always saw the good in everyone. Eric and his beloved wife, whom of which he loved very much, relocated to Salisbury, North Carolina in December of 2015. He was employed at Wholesale Glass, Charlotte North Carolina. Elder Johnson attended and served at Love Christian Center under the leadership of Bishop W. R. Hash and Lady Lotis Hash until his death. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, La Monica Richardson-Johnson of Salisbury North Carolina; his two sons, Mikia and Micah and one step-son Malik; four sisters, Wanda Warren(Jimmy), Carolyn(Stanley), Brenda(Ronamus), Tamara(Robert); three, brothers, Gary, Cory(Danielle), Tyrone all of Philadelphia, PA; a devoted uncle James Reynolds, Philadelphia, PA; one sister- in- law, Jennifer Richardson and a brother-in-law Johnathan Richardson; a nephew, Triontae Richardson; a niece Miste Richardson of Moss Point, MS; his spiritual mother, Sally Wilkins; his spiritual father, Bishop Melvin Brown; a special friend Bishop Rudolph Palmer and a host of relatives, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on, March 24, 2018, at 1PM, at Love Christian Center, 102 N. Long Street, East Spencer, North Carolina. Bishop Ronald Hash will conduct the eulogy.
