Evangelist Sarah Jane Fields, age 86, of Salisbury, North Carolina, transitioned Monday, January 13, 2020, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. She was born Sarah Jane Green on September 15, 1933, in Fishing Creek, Granville County, NC. She attended public schools in Oxford, North Carolina. She received her Associates of Religious Education from Washington Saturday College in Washington, D.C. She moved to Washington, D.C., in the mid-fifties, where she met and married Marshall Fields, July 6, 1959. Of this union four children were born. She was employed in numerous fields including Domestic, Health-Care, Culinary Arts, Seamstress, Cosmetology, Extension Program Specialist/4-H/Youth/Virginia Cooperative Extension/Virginia Tech for the City of Alexandria, VA. Sarah attended Belton Creek Baptist Church and Union AME Zion while living in North Carolina. After moving to Washington, D.C., she received the Holy-Spirit at Antioch Church of Our Lord Jesus Chirst, Bibleway Worldwide in Alexandria, VA. Sarah was a faithful member serving the Willing Workers Ministry, Senior Choir, Missionary Board and was ordained Evangelist under the late Bishop Henry Roberts. In 2007, she moved her membership to Agape Worldwide Ministries, under the leadership of her son, Elder Renzall J. Fields, where she remained church mother until her transition. Sarah moved to Salisbury, North Carolina to live with her eldest daughter, due to her husband Marshall's declining health. Sarah had the gift of Agape love, encouragement, evangelism, outreach, prophecy, word of knowledge, laying on of hands and she never met a stranger. Sarah was preceded in death by her mother, Warrenita Green; father, Wyatt Cooley; son, Thomas Earl Green and husband, Marshall L. Fields. Sarah leaves to cherish her memories, her loving Brother, Minister Thomas Green (Virginia); Brothers-in-Love, Elder Charles Fields and Deacon Sylvester Fields (Hazel). Children: Elder Annita Gillespie (William), Dr. Tobi Fields, Elder Renzall J. Fields, Jettie Fields and Natina Johnson; Grandchildren; Tobin Fields, Yancy (Annabelle) Fields, Joseph Wilson, Ronald Philips, LaToya Phillips, Nicole Phillips and Jeremiah Boger; Great-Grandchildren; Siomiyah Fields, Gavin Palmer, Peyton Stallings, Aron Stallings, Allie Fields, Tobin Fields, Jr., Tahmas Fields, Nevaeh Fields, Lilly Fields, TaNiya Fields, Jeremiah Fields, Symphiny Wilson, NiaZeir Ra Wilson and Miracle Jones; loving cousins, nieces, nephews as well as church family, and many other close family and friends; Special friends, Verna Dean Green, Associate Pastor Natricia Allen, Linda Walcroft, Missionary Naomi Roberts, Bishop Roger and Mother Rose Logan, Elder Judy Boggans, Martha Fisher and Mother Ella Phillips. Funeral arrangements: Saturday, January 25, 2020, with visitation at 12 Noon, followed by service 1 PM, at Tower of Power United Holy Church, 601 E. Cemetery Street, Salisbury, North Carolina.
