Mr. George Edward Brown, Jr

George Edward Brown Jr (Jojo), age 52, passed away January 15, 2025, at home in China Grove, NC. He was born on September 3, 1972, in Salisbury, NC, to the late George Edward Brown Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Propst.

Jojo was a proud resident of China Grove and was educated in the Rowan County School System. He attended Salisbury High School. He has been in a loving relationship with Teresa Knowles for over 25 years. George worked as a Sous Chef, displaying his love for culinary arts and passion for putting love in every meal he prepared. Jojo was very outgoing and loved fishing, dancing, and singing. Jojo's family and travel were his two biggest passions, and he never failed to use his ability to make anyone laugh.

Jojo was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Propst and father, George Edward Brown Sr.

Left to mourn and celebrate his life is his love, Teresa Knowles, China Grove, NC; Children DeAngelo Withers, Atlanta, GA, Cameron Withers, Jakeedria Brown of Charlotte, NC, Tiarra Kirkman, and Dejuante Brown of China Grove, NC; brothers, James Anthony (Malisha) Jones, Vincent Eugene (Angelia) Jones, and Darrien Lyndell Brown Sr.; 11 grand-children and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arrangements: Celebration of Life will be held at Carroll-Waters Funerals and Cremations, 111 Railroad St. Cleveland, NC beginning at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25th, where family and friends can come to fellowship and celebrate the life of George Edward Brown Jr.
