Mrs. Geraldine Trueblood Chambers

September 16, 1934 — October 15, 2021

Geraldine Trueblood Chambers, age 87, passed from life unto life eternal on Friday, October 15, 2021. She was the daughter of Memphis and Geneva Trueblood, and sister to Gertie Trueblood Dru, all of whom have proceeded her in death. She was born September 16, 1934, in Salisbury, NC. Mrs. Chambers attended Dunbar High School in East Spencer, NC, and retired as an employee of the Rowan County School System in Salisbury. A member of New Hope A.M.E. Zion Church in Salisbury, Mrs. Chambers was active as a member of the choir and served on various committees. Those who survive and will forever cherish her memories are her son, John Wesley Chambers, Jr. (Brenda), Salisbury, and her daughters, Rita Chambers Hayes (Daniel), Boca Raton, FL, Patricia Ann Witherspoon, Salisbury, and Frances Emily Hough (Robert), Salisbury. Mrs. Chambers was blessed with four grandchildren, Keshia Chambers, Robert Chambers and Devon Chambers (Cierra), all of Salisbury, and Rachel Davis (Owen) of Parkland, FL, and two great-grandchildren, Bryce Davis, and Alba Chambers. Her circle of love also includes a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation: Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., followed by service 11:00 a.m., at New Hope A.M.E. Zion Church, Salisbury, NC. Interment in the Church Cemetery.
