Mrs. Gerry Yannarella

Mrs. Gerry Yannarella June 11, 1932 - December 21, 2022 Mrs. Gerry Yannarella, age 90, passed away, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at her residence. She was formerly from Lock Haven Pennsylvania, which was also her place of birth. Gerry was very active in local government in Loudoun County, Virginia, as well as Clinton County, Pennsylvania. She was elected as the first woman in Virginia history on the Board of Supervisors. In Pennsylvania, she served as president of the Borough Council. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roxanne Truax and ex-husband Harold Gardner, who both died of Multiple Myeloma Cancer, and a granddaughter that also died of cancer. Surviving are her daughters, Denise Dunn of Silver Springs, FL, Jennifer Watson (Dana) of Cleveland, NC, and Tina McCourt (Dan) of Cleveland, NC; her son Harold Gardner (Kim) of Cleveland, NC; her loving sister, Rose Ann Yannarella of Lock Haven; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Gerry aquired many life long friends that she cherished. Gerry requested a private ceremony with family, no viewing or flowers. Monetary donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, St. Agnes Church in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, or St. Philips Catholic Church in Statesville, North Carolina.
