Mr. Gregory Alphonso Lyles

Mr. Gregory Alphonso Lyles was born to the late Abraham Lyles and the late Mary Brown Hall on January 17, 1963 in Nassau County, New York. He departed this life on November 15, 2019 at Presbyterian Health Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from the New York School System. He loved music, singing and loved to play drums. Gregory loved his wife, children, family and caring for others. He was humble, down to earth and full of joy. He would share whatever he had with anyone and would help anybody. He leaves to cherish his memories: a wife, Latieka Lyles; son, Dionte Newton of Washington, DC; a step-daughter, Avriyanna Miseheimer; a step-father, Mr. Anthony Hall of Salisbury; two brothers, Abraham (Litita) Lyles, Jr, of Concord and Willie Lyles of Charlotte; two sisters, Juanita Davis of Long Island, New York, and Sharon Lyles of New York; two cousins reared with him at home, Tiffany Lyles of Salisbury and Onwa Lyles of New York; mother-in-law, Ms. Carla Caldwell of Kannapolis and father-in-law, Mr. Michael Caldwell of Concord; aunts, uncles, cousins, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, November 23, 2019, 3p.m., at Tower of Power United Holy Church, 601 E. Cemetery Street, Salisbury.
