Mr. Henry Tindal

The story of Henry "Ford Man" Tindal

He was born to the late Edward and Rosa Tindal, September 11,1938 in Clarendon County, South Carolina. He was reared in North Carolina. He passes away peacefully after an extended illness at his home, on November 25, 2024. He graduated from Teamer Night School in Charlotte, NC. He worked for Shell Oil Company and Exxon Mobil Company for over thirty years andserved in the United States Army.  He was a very active in the Masonic. To anyone who knew him, he was a kind and giving person.  He had a big heart, and was always trying to lend a helping hand. Henry loved drag racing. He won 229 races at Shuffle Town Drag Strip in Charlotte, North Carolina. He raced all ford models In the 60's, 70's and 80's. He also enjoyed fixingcars, which was his special hobby.

Preceded in death by his brother Perry Tindal.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife of 61 very long years, Brenda Robinson Tindal; two sons, Yusef (Jill) Tindal,Henry "Djuan" Tindal, and one special son of the family, Hyro(Keila Colocho) Ortiz all of Salisbury; one daughter, Carla D'Joy Tindal, of Salisbury; five brothers, James Tindal, Derrick (Regina) Tindal, Alonza Tindal, Gabriel Tindal, Edward Tindal; two sisters, Betty Jean Tindal and Barbara (Lacy) Johnson, bothof Charlotte; eleven grandchildren, Rhonda (Tyson) Jackson, Ashli Tindal, Travis (Daneshia) Tindal, Graham Hosch, Patience Cuthbertson, RJ Gaither, Montero Carter, KaJuan Tindal, E Than Leonard, Jacob Leonard and Lillian Starr Henderson; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three very special friends, Armond Staton of High Point, David McFarland of Charlotte and Ronald Phifer of Salisbury; He will also be truly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
