James William Reddick was born on December 26, 1962, and departed his life on Friday, February 28, 2025, at his residence in Rowan County.
James attended South Iredell High School in Troutman, North Carolina. He worked several jobs, Cannon Mills and Frankie's, just to name a few. He also did many side jobs like carpentry and roofing and was the family mechanic. He was also a man with many talents. James loved to go fishing and enjoyed being around his family. His favorite team was the Commanders.
He was preceded in death by his father William Oscar Miller; a brother, William Miller (Teddy); and grandparents, Henry L. Reddick and Hattie Carr Wilkinson.
James leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Delois (Jean) Ivery Reddick; two sons, William (Mook) Borders of Salisbury, NC and Cedarian Reddick of Troutman, NC; one daughter. Shandra Ivery Tyus (Darren) of Kentucky; two grandkids, Tashon Brandon and Arriyana Tyus of Kentucky; one Goddaughter, Kelia Ramseur of Mooresville, NC; mother, Mary R. Miller of Statesville, NC; two brothers, John Henry Reddick (Teresa) of High Point, NC and Anthony Reddick of Cleveland, NC; eight sisters, Overseer Mary Burton of Charlotte, NC, Margaret Houge, Charlette Harrell, Teresa Smith and Diane Teague all of Statesville, NC, Gladys (Kenny) Everhart of Cleveland, NC, and Lillian Reddick of Mooresville, NC, and Prisicilla (Tony) Smith of China Grove, NC; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. The family will meet at 2807 Findley Road, Statesville, NC, after the service.
Service: Funeral arrangement is Saturday, March 15, 2025, with visitation at 12:30 p.m., followed by service 1:00 p.m., South Iredell A.M.E. Zion, 201 State Road 2380 Road, Troutman, NC 28166
