Mr. John Mark Chambers

Mr. John Mark Chambers (Johnny), 60 years old of 229 Lloyd Street, Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville, Blvd., Salisbury, North Carolina, after a very brief illness. John Mark was born April 14, 1961 in Rowan County. John Chambers was the son of the late Bishop Walter Chambers and late Overseer Dicy Forney Chambers. He was educated in the Rowan County School System. Mr. Chambers served in the U.S. Army National Guard. John worked for Miridian Technologies, Freight Liner and Handy Man Services which included Interior and Exterior Painting. He also worked for Chambers Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping, Inc. John was a member of New Smith Chapel Pentecostal Church, where he sang in the choir. Preceding him in death were his parents: Bishop Walter Chambers, Overseer Dicy Forney Chambers; a sister, Betty Lucille Chambers; two brothers, Wyman Lamont Forney and Walter Ernest Chambers, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory; His domestic partner, Ms. Sheryl Kerns, Salisbury, North Carolina; a daughter, Miss Tiffany Kesler, Charlotte, North Carolina; four sisters, Pastor Norzely Krider (Bishop John Krider), Joanne Chambers Cowan, Margaret Chambers Goodlett (William Goodlett), all of Salisbury, North Carolina, and Phyllis Chambers David, (Washington David), Sugar Hill, Georgia; a brother, Bishop David Lee Chambers (Elder Shelia Chambers), Salisbury, North Carolina; Cousin Michael Marlin. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Public viewing, Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 1pm till 6pm at Boone-Carroll Funeral Home, 111 Railroad Street, Cleveland, North Carolina. Graveside Service Monday, December 20, 2021, at New Smith Chapel Pentecostal Church, 220 Sandra Avenue, Salisbury, North Carolina.
