Mr. John Reginald Scott, 67, of 931 Knox Ave, Statesville, NC passed away on August 5th Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was born on January 17, 1953 to the late Colis and Eloise Rankin Scott. He was a 1973 graduate of South Iredell High School and a retiree of CommScope after 30 years of service. In addition to his parents he preceded in death by one sister Delois Rankin, one brother James Leroy Scott, two nephews Deshaun Witherspoon and Scott Henry, and two nieces Lenay McCoy and SharDay Gaither. He leaves to cherish his memory three brothers Colis, Gary, and Larry(Leslie) Scott all of Statesville. Three sisters Thedoric Witherspoon of Cleveland, NC, Tammy Scott of Statesville, NC, and Joan Smith of Franklin, TN five aunts and two uncles Margretta Cowan, Clara Rankin, Gwendolyn Rankin, Patricia Wellman, Hallie(Richard) Davidson, and James Dalton. A special niece Tiomi Scott and five children he considered his grandchildren Zavion and SharDanae Chipley, La'Rhea and Jael Harris, and Deyontae Kinney and a special cousin Melwood Davis all of Statesville and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a graveside service at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church at 935 Mt. Tabor Church Road, Cleveland, NC 27013 on Saturday, August 8th at 12 pm.
