Mr. Joseph Ring, 69, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024.
Joe was born in Norwich Connecticut and attended St. Bernard High School and University of Connecticut, where he obtained his degree in BFA. He was the eldest of 5 children born to Milton and Monica Ring, who preceded him in death.
Joe moved to N.Y. to pursue his passion for Acting, and as a professional member of SAG-AFTRA, he had minor roles in several movies such as Tootsie and Sophie's choice among others, and in the TV series Equalizer and a couple of daytime soap operas. He was his happiest and, in his element, when he performed.
He moved to Florida in 1988 when Disney recruited him to be a cast member of the newly opened MGM Studios in 1989, along with other professional actors from around the country for the attraction called Screentest. He had a natural talent for humor and a quick wit as well, which endeared him to many who knew and loved him.
Later, he went into law enforcement and retired as a corporal from the Orange County Sheriff's office in Orlando, Florida.
He is survived by his children, Heather Quesinberry (Rusty), Jason Ring and Jessica Ring, his siblings; Patricia Ring, James Ring (Barbara), Elizabeth Slezak (Dave), Thomas Ring (Tricia), his grandchildren Blaine Klein-White, Emily Schiermeister (Wesley), Lexi and Savannah Quesinberry, along with nieces, nephews and four great grandchildren.
