Woodleaf-Kerry "Red" Gray was born on July 12, 1975 in Davie County, to Shirley White Gray and Robert Junior Gray. His earthly life ended on July 13, 2014."Red" loved God, his family, music, working out, cleaning, and he had a big heart for all the kids he came in contact with."Red" was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Jessie & Stella White; Paternal Grandparents Luther (June) & Bertha Gray; one Aunt, Brenda Williams; one Uncle, Rufus Williams.
Those left to cherish "Red's" memory include his mother, Shirley Gray of the home; father, Robert Gray of Salisbury; one daughter, Kaniesha Johnson of Lexington; five sisters, Sherry Gray of Cooleemee, Melissa Gray of the home, Genesis Adkins and Omega Adkins, both of Lexington; Raquaya Gray of Salisbury; three brothers, Terry and Curtis Gray of the home, Jeremiah Adkins of Lexington; six nieces, Sa'Tonia, La'Stella, Shay, Taraji, Camay and Starla; four nephews, Raekwon, Sha'Heem, Curtis Jr., and Terry Jr; One great niece, Serenity; nine aunts Geraldine (Alex) Cuthbertson, Cleveland; Janice Davis, Lexington, Vivian White, High Point, Ernestine Harding, Cooleemee, Marilyn (Johnny) Rice, Cooleemee, Frances (Perry) James, Mocksville, Harriet White, Cooleemee, Charlene White, Lexington, Darlene White, High Point; Two uncles Robert White and Michael (Selvia) White both of Lexington; three great aunts, Genelle Watkins, Ethel Payne, and Ellen Williams; Fianc'ee Pamela Lassiter; as well as a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 with visitation at 2PM, follow by service at 3PM, Victory Baptist Church, Cooleemee, North Carolina. Eulogy by the Rev. Rodney Barker.
