Mr. Leroy Moore made his transition from this earthly life to his eternal home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was born on July 7, 1943 in Bennettsville, South Carolina, to the late Edmond Moore, Sr. and Hessie Quick Moore.
Leroy was employed at Rediance Chemical Company now known as, Akzo Nobel for over 30 years until his retirement in the year 2000. He then ventures over and became an entrepreneur and started his own business "Select Seafood" for several years. He also served as a resident Advocate with the High Point Housing Authority for many years.
Leroy was a dedicated, faithful and lifelong member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for 40 years where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and President of the Male Chorus for many years. He was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord, his church and most definitely loved his family and took great pride in family values and tried to teach everyone he knew how important family was.
Leroy was well known for telling it like it was (no filter), but always in love. He was also known for walking with the "pimp Limp" and always dressing stylish and neat. He loved playing spades and would always let his opponents know that he was the best player there was, and they would never beat him. He was adored and well-liked by all who knew him. We thank God for his life of love, joy and devotion.
Leroy was married to his devoted wife, Helen Moore for 53 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved spending quality time with his family.
