Mr. Leroy Walker

Mr. Leroy Walker, age 64, was called home to glory on, Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was born in Salisbury, North Carolina, on August 25, 1953 to Roy Smith and the late Rosa Lee Walker Smith. He was educated at West Rowan High School. He was employed at Cannon Mills, Parkdale Mills, Marxian and Apple Baking Companies. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marion Michelle Walker. He was married to Linda Everhart Walker of Salisbury. They had three children, Leroy Walker (Latoyia), Reginald Everhart and Ca-Daryl Sloan all of Salisbury; 12 grandchildren; seven brothers, Dwayne Walker, Robin Worth, Leroy Smith, Jr., Derek Smith, Dwayne Smith, Ray Johnson, and Gilbert Worth; four sisters, Eloise Adkins (John), Thelma Worth, Tammie Tabor (O.T.),and Darlene Seehgars (Andre). In addition to his children/grandchildren, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Funeral arrangements are Friday, December 22, 2017, with visitation at 12Noon, followed by service at 12:30PM, Shady Grove Baptist Church, East Spencer. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
