Mrs. Linda H. Knox-Rippy

Linda H. Knox-Rippy passed away surrounded by her family, June 6, 2024 peacefully at home. She was born August 12, 1947 to John Allen Henderson Sr and Lula Davis. She was educated in Rowan Salisbury Schools. She was a 1965 graduate of J. C. Price High School. She graduated from Rowan Cabarrus Community College, Winston-Salem State University, and UNC-Charlotte.

She retired as a Registered Nurse supervisor from the W.G. Bill Hefner VAMC in Salisbury, NC. During her career, she taught nursing at various schools. Mrs. Rippy was a life long learner who loved education. She was a member of Chi Eta Phi sorority where she loved to serve her community.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 4 brothers, Melvin Hall, James Henry Hall, Talbert Hall, John Allen Henderson Jr, and one sister, Mary L. Jones.  She is survived by her loving husband, Darryl Lee Rippy, one brother, Thomas L. Henderson, Hephzibah, GA, her 4 daughters: Lisa Henderson-Braswell, April Henderson-Lee (Tony), Melinda D Wilson, and Faith Hosch. She has 7 grandsons and 2 granddaughters, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a host of nephews and nieces, and other relatives.

Services will be held at First Calvary Baptist Church 400 S Long St, Salisbury, NC Sunday June 16, 2024. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm to 2:30pm with services starting thereafter.
