Mr. Marvin Louis Culbertson

Mr. Marvin Louis Culbertson was born August 30, 1952 in Rowan County. He was the son of the late Marvin and Essie Mae Oakley Culbertson. He departed his life on September 25, 2019, at Novant Health Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. Marvin graduated from West Rowan High School and retired from US Security in Statesville NC. He was a lifetime member of Mt Vernon Presbyterian Church, Woodleaf, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Diane Smith; sisters, Mary Frances Taylor, Ruth Rosetta Askew and Grace Louise Jones. He is survived by a son, Willie Leon Walker of the home; brothers, Walter R. (Shirley) Culbertson, and Roman O. (Dorothy) Culbertson both of Cleveland, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 at Mt Vernon Presbyterian Church with visitation at 11:00am and funeral at 11:30am. Rev. Otto Gather, Pastor will officiate.
