Mrs. Mattie Mae Gaston

Mrs. Mattie Mae Brown Gaston was born to the late Alfred Brown and Minnie Mae Ruth, on October 23, 1954 in Fairfield County South Carolina. She took her wings to be with the Lord on April 20, 2022 at the age of 67. She attended Tower of Power United Holy Church until she moved to Kannapolis. Mattie was a loving and caring person. She touched everyone's heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Richardson; sister, Sherly Coleman and nephew, Carnell Coleman. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Eller Alston and Hattie Richardson (Luther Phifer); one son, Eddie Richardson; one sister, Betty Cline; three nieces, Yshella Coleman, Tameka Coleman and Cerice Coleman; four Nephews, Vincent Brown, Jimmy Willis, Ronald Coleman, Jr., and Michael Coleman; 10 grandchildren, Kerrisha Richardson, Darrion Cuthberson, Quinton Richardson, Jacqueline Richardson, Kenneasha Richardson(Jonathan King), Marquila Vaughn, Shakela Mayfield, D'Angelo Mayfield, Sorrell Richardson, and Darmacus Richardson; a special friend Greg; eighteen great-grand, and a host of other relatives and friends. A private viewing will be held Sunday, April 24th from 1pm until 3pm. A public viewing will be from 3pm until 5pm at Boone-Carroll Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 1 p.m., at Boone-Carroll Funeral Home, 111 Railroad Street, Cleveland, North Carolina. Interment will follow in Rowan Memorial Park.
