Thomasville

Brian Michael Cripps, 48, of Thomasville, North Carolina, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist High Point Medical Center in High Point, North Carolina. Brian was the son of the late Margaret King and William Cripps.

Brian was born on February 9, 1978, in Asheboro, North Carolina. He was educated in the public schools and attended Farmer Elementary School and Davidson High School. He worked at Thomas Built Buses in High Point, Thomasville Furniture in Thomasville, Flowers Bakery in Jamestown, and later worked for Carl Johnson at the sawmill.

Brian loved his family and was a devoted provider. His family was his whole life, and he often spoke about how much he loved his wife and children. Brian would drop everything if someone needed help, and he would give you the shirt off his back. He enjoyed drinking beer and collecting Hot Wheels cars, tools, and firearms. He loved calling his Aunt Mary and talking on the phone for hours. He also enjoyed buying his boys special toys and teaching them valuable life skills. Brian often said, “I’m raising men, not boys.”

Brian always shared the details of his day with his wife, whether good or bad. He loved getting a reaction out of people, especially at work. Brian had a great sense of humor and was never afraid to speak his mind.

Brian is survived by his wife, Tiera Cripps, of 8½ years; his two sons, Sage and Bryson Cripps; his brothers, George and Billy Cripps; his Aunt Mary, Uncle Joe, and Aunt Kathy; close family members Jessica and Connie Wright; and his close friends and coworkers at Thomas Built Buses.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret King and William Cripps; his grandparents, Nora and Joe Shock; and his grandparents, Don and Francis Cripps.
