Keenan Harris departed this life on April 14, 2026, in Salisbury, NC.
Keenan and his twin sister, Keyanna, were born on December 23, 1996, in Brooklyn, NY, to Roberta Harris and the late Robert Sampson Jr. Keenan lived in New York until 2000, when he moved to Columbia, SC. There, he attended Forest Heights Elementary before eventually moving to Salisbury, NC. In Salisbury, he attended local elementary schools, Knox Middle School, and Salisbury High School.
Keenan was a remarkably sweet person who dedicated himself to ensuring that everyone around him was having a great day, especially the children he loved so dearly. To know Keenan was to feel the peace and calm of a field of dandelions; he was a natural listener and a steady presence for those who needed to talk. He found great joy in playing video games, watching wrestling, and listening to music, with gospel and Pop Smoke among his favorites.
Keenan’s memory will be forever cherished by his loving mother, Roberta Harris; his sisters, Keyanna Harris (Marcus), Shaniqua Harris (Lagregory), Lorraine “Tesha” Sampson-Jones, and Robin Harris, all of Salisbury, NC, and Tateyana Harris of Indianapolis, IN; and his five brothers, Robert Harris (Chantel) of Brooklyn, NY, Cory Harris (Latoyia) of Salisbury, Shamale Harris (Heather) of Statesville, NC, Katrell Harris (Myia) of Kannapolis, NC, and Christopher Harris of Indianapolis, IN.
He also leaves behind his grandparents, Lorraine “Mama Lou” and Harald; two uncles; three aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends, and bonus family members. Keenan was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Spud” Sampson Jr., and his sister, Roberta “Cookie” Harris.
Keenan’s family asks that everyone keep his name and his beautiful memories alive in their hearts.
