Marvin Dan Jackson passed away on February 8, 2026, at Meadow Brooke Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury, North Carolina.

He was born on July 25, 1959, to the late Parthenia Kerns Jackson and the late Marvin T. Sloan. Dan graduated from Salisbury High School in 1978. He had a deep love for cooking and dedicated many years of his life to working in the food industry. Dan will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Crockett Jackson; his brothers, Wendall Jackson Sr., Jerome Jackson Sr., and Brian Jackson; and his nephews, Sammy Smith and Anthony McGee.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers: Sterling Jackson and Keith Jackson of Salisbury, NC; Cornell Jackson (Ann) of Stone Mountain, GA; and Kenneth Jackson (Cynthia) of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by his sisters: Deborah McGee; his twin sister, Marilyn Moore (Sam) of Salisbury, NC; Gay Irene Jackson of Greensboro, NC; Lynda Sloan; and Dorothy Sloan. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Linda Crockett Holland (Robert) of Charlotte, NC, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 11:30 a.m. at Fairview Heights Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road, Salisbury, NC 28144. Reverend Clarence Marlin will officiate and serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at City Memorial Park in Salisbury.
