Mr. Samuel White

Mr. Samuel White, born on August 11, 1944, passed away on May 27, 2026, after a short illness. His parents, Samuel Leon White and Leila Penn, his brother, Robert Louis White “Rabbit”, James Phillip White “Pete”, and his sister, Sheila Clark, and Scotty Mchael White, his grandson, all preceded him in death. He leaves behind four children: Carolyn Wood (Fletcher), Lanetta White, Bradlee White, Loreal White, Angela Locke (stepdaughter), and grandchildren: Bret White (Chanice), Precious Harris, Emil White, Mae White, and Jeanetta White. He is also survived by his brother, Lawrence Olivier White, and his sister, Patsy Ann Horton. His nephews, Lawrence Oliver White (Stephanie), Jeff Harris (Rosemary), and Scotty Harris (Theresa), along with his nieces, Leila Harris, Myra Jones, Felicia Howard (David), Seneca Lawrence Pender, Sean White, Stacey White, Linda White, Lisa White, and Kevin White. He also leaves behind a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, and great-grandchildren.

His life was marked by dedication and a steadfast commitment to the values he held dear. Throughout his years, Mr. White earned the respect and admiration of those who had the privilege to know him. Family and friends alike referred to him as a gentle giant. Sam, as he preferred to be called, had a sarcastic wit and a great sense of humor, liked helping people when he could, and loved his heavenly father. He will be remembered and treasured.
