Mr. Sterling Jackson

Sterling L. Jackson, 75, of Salisbury, North Carolina, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 2, 2026, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Sterling was born on March 10, 1951, to the late Parthenia Kerns Jackson and the late James E. Jackson. He graduated from Dunbar High School with the Class of 1969.

Sterling found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with his family, friends, and neighbors. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He worked for many years as a professional driver with Safety Taxi, where he was known for his dedication and dependable service.

Sterling leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wendall Jackson Sr., Jerome Jackson Sr., Brian Jackson, and Marvin Jackson; and his nephews, Sammy Smith and Anthony McGee.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his brothers, Keith Jackson of Salisbury, North Carolina; Cornell Jackson (Ann) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; and Kenneth Jackson (Cynthia) of Raleigh, North Carolina; and his sisters, Deborah McGee of Salisbury, North Carolina; Marilyn Moore (Sam) of Salisbury, North Carolina; and Gay Irene Jackson of Greensboro, North Carolina.

He also leaves a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
