Mrs. MaryMargaret Ricci

Jul 20, 1954 — Sep 15, 2026

MaryMargaret Ann Ricci, 72, passed away peacefully at her home in North Carolina on September 15, 2026. She was born on July 20, 1954, in Buffalo, New York, to John and Margaret Guadagno. Raised in Blasdell, New York, MaryMargaret grew up surrounded by family, love, and a deep abiding faith that guided her throughout her life.MaryMargaret’s faith was at the very heart of who she was. Her spirituality, kindness, gentle nature, and compassion touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She lived her faith not only through words, but through the love she showed to others, the help she offered, and the grace with which she faced life.

She is survived by her beloved son, Orlando J. Ricci of Mooresville, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Gary J. Ricci II, her parents, as well as her three brothers and other cherished family members who undoubtedly welcomed her home with open arms.

MaryMargaret was a graduate of Frontier High School and later attended Hilbert College. Throughout her life, she generously gave her time to the work she cared about, including working with the military, the PTA in West Seneca, as well asnumerous other organizations and causes. She found meaning in helping others and was always willing to offer a kind word, a listening ear, or guidance to someone in need.

Above all else, MaryMargaret was a devoted mother. Her sons were the greatest love and joy of her life. She dedicated herself to providing for them, supporting their dreams, and celebrating every accomplishment, whether academic, athletic, or simply the milestones of becoming the men she was so proud of. She cherished the opportunity to spend the better part of the last 15 years sharing precious time living at both of her sons’ homes. For MaryMargaret, there was no greater blessing than being together with family.

She also had plenty of passions that made her uniquely MaryMargaret. She was an avid sports fan who proudly cheered for the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, New York Yankees, WVU, and NASCAR. She loved spending time with her sons and family, sharing stories, playing board games, watching true-crime programs and Court TV, and settling in for a good movie with the people she loved. Her Italian heritage and upbringing were another treasured part of her life. MaryMargaret loved to cook for others, finding great happiness in preparing food and bringing people together around the table. For her, cooking was more than preparing a meal as it was an expression of love, family, tradition, and generosity. MaryMargaret opened her heart to so many and never hesitated to offer encouragement or guidance when someone needed it. Her gentle spirit, warmth, humor, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness for those who loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing that the faith she held so dearly throughout her life now carries her into eternal peace. MaryMargaret was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Her memory will forever be a blessing. A celebration of MaryMargaret’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be announced when arrangements are finalized.
