Mrs. Phyllis Sifford Charleston

Phyllis Ann Sifford Charleston was born on November 15, 1951, in Salisbury, North Carolina, to the late Kizer Vincent Sifford Sr. and Erma McKee Sifford. On Friday, August 14, 2026, Phyllis peacefully answered the call of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and entered her eternal home.

Phyllis was a graduate of East Rowan High School. She continued her education by attending cosmetology school and later became involved in the healthcare field. She was also employed with Pauline Knitting Corporation, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.

Phyllis will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and those who were blessed to know her. Her life and precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Keyosha Witcher; her brother, Lonnie V. Sifford; and her sister, Peggy Louise Sifford Leach.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include her loving daughter, Cammie Sheril Sifford of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandson, Marquise Weddington of Charlotte, North Carolina; granddaughter, Kelisha James of Charlotte, North Carolina; Kalynn “Kay Kay” Brooker, Davarius Witcher, Kayleigh James, Kamiah Blacks, Kaycie Blacks, and Kaiden Blacks, all of Charlotte, North Carolina.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Diane (Andrew) Harris of Salisbury, North Carolina; brothers, Steve (Betty) Sifford of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Kizer (Lavidia) Sifford of Salisbury, North Carolina; her special friend, Harold; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
