Ms. Teresa Cody

Ms. Teresa Cody, a cherished member of the community, passed away on May 13, 2026, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born on August 10, 1966, Ms. Cody’s life was marked by resilience, dedication, and deep familial bonds.

Teresa was the beloved daughter of the late Ervin Tom Cody and Anna Johnson. She was preceded in death by her siblings Kathy Cody, Jone Wickline (also known as Rick), and Sebert Cody. Throughout her life, Teresa maintained a close connection with her family and those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Reese Amos of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, who carries forward Teresa’s legacy of strength and compassion. Teresa’s two living siblings, Brenda Knapp (married to Basil Knapp of Winston-Salem, NC) and Richard Cody of Peterstown, West Virginia, continue to honor her memory. Her devoted partner, Timothy Bennett of Mount Airy, North Carolina, stood by her side with unwavering support. Additionally, Teresa was cared for with exceptional kindness by her caregivers, Susan and Billy Dunn of Winston-Salem, NC, whose dedication reflected the profound care she inspired in others.
