Nicholas George Metzger
Nicholas George Metzger, age 25, passed away suddenly on May 17, 2024. Born on December 27,1998 in California, Nick was a beloved son, brother, and friend who touched the lives of everyone he met.
Nick was known for his love, laughter, generosity, mellow demeanor, intelligence/intellect, creativity, sensibility, wholeheartedness and he was always a gentleman. He attended College in South Carolina and graduated in 2021 with a degree in Arts. He worked as a Leasing Agent at Abberly Liberty Crossing by HHHunt, in North Carolina where he was respected for his dedication and hard work.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Nick had a passion for camping, fishing, cooking, photography, and video games. Nick also loved animals, he had two dogs, Yogi and Toby; and two lizards, Rima and Rhea. In 2017, Nick wrote and published a book named "Children of the Forgotten". Nick rarely drank alcohol, but he loved to be inventive. He created his own recipes for delicious alcoholic ice cream.
Nick was always willing to lend a hand and had a gift for making others smile. His love for children was evident to all who knew him. Nick was involved with the Big Brother Program and was hoping to adopt a child someday. He is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Jessica Metzger; his siblings, Pamela and Kalia Metzger; his stepmother Dana Metzger; stepsister, Kendra Kohler; his grandparents, Gilda Metzger, Jorge and Marite Lucar; and countless friends who considered him family. Nick's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Nick will be held on July 20, 2024, in Florida at his father's and stepmom's home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Brothers Big Sister of Central North Carolina or ASPCA (Animal Charity), in Nick's memory.
Though his time with us was far too short, Nick's impact on our lives was profound. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
