Prophet Cornell Maurice Wilson of 420 N. Bounty Street, Salisbury, North Carolina, was born to the late Delores Elizabeth Wilson and Carold S. Wilson, on December 3, 1975. He went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2016.
Cornell attended Davidson County Schools. He received a certificate while in Job Corps. He studied at Rowan Cabarrus Community College in teaching of ministry.
In the year of 2015 Cornell was married to Dana Harris Wilson of Salisbury, North Carolina. He had a sweet spirit that reached out and touched the lives of many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores E. Wilson; father, Carold S. Wilson; sister, Kimberly E. Wilson, and brother, Bishop Harold A. Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Dana Harris Wilson; son, Cornell Wilson, Jr.(CJ), of Lexington, NC; three sisters, Marie Crawley of Plainfield, New Jersey, Cynthia Wilson of West Orange, New Jersey and Sarah P. Wilson of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Brian Wilson of Lexington, NC, Gerald Wilson of Raleigh, NC, and Carold Wilson of Lexington, NC; a special Aunt, Minister Linda Boyd of Salisbury, NC; one Uncle, William Boyd of Alexander, VA; five special nieces, Shameka Taylor of High Point, NC, Tichina Taylor of Lexington, NC, Tamayia Celeste Wilson of Winston Salem, NC, Iona Wilson and Asia Wilson both of Salisbury, NC; two nephews, Trenton O'Brian Wilson of Winston Salem, NC and Travis Wilson of Salisbury, NC; Two special cousins, Michael Boyd of Salisbury, NC and Rodney Boyd of Winston-Salem, NC; A spiritual mother, Pastor Flora Sorocki; A host of cousins, and friends.
Funeral arrangements are Monday, July 18, 2016, visitation at 12Noon followed by service at 12:30PM, Files Chapel Baptist Church, 912 Dixie Street, Lexington, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery. The family is meeting at Minister Linda Boyd residence, 325 Woodson Street, Apt. 58, Salisbury, North Carolina.
