Mrs. Ruth Bernice Fleming

Ruth Fleming, age 66, of Salisbury, North Carolina, (Rowan County) passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Novant Rowan Medical Center. She was born on July 8, 1958.

Ruth was a beloved daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. Ruth was one of seven siblings.

Ruth retired from the Rowan-Salisbury School System in 2010, but her passion for cooking continued long after. Her meals, like her presence, brought people together and created lasting memories. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and was a proud member of the usher board.

Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Fleming, whom she loved dearly and carried in her heart always; three sisters Beulah Fleming Tate, Patrica Fleming Dunlap, and Crystal Cuthbertson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two grandchildren, Tiffany Fleming and Ranisha Lipscomb; four beloved great-granddaughters, Tyzaria Davis, Zaniya Lipscomb, Ju'Kiya Ford and Octavia Graham, who were the light of her life; her loving mother, Leila Bell Cuthbertson; one brother, Wyatt Cuthbertson Jr; two sisters, Toni Cuthbertson and Leila Cuthbertson Chambers. She also leaves behind her devoted lifelong partner, Conrad Wilson, with whom she shared many loving years.

Ruth will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the love she gave so freely to her family and all who knew her.

A joint service honoring Ruth Fleming and her sister Beulah Fleming Tate will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, with visitations beginning at 12:30 p.m., followed by service 1:00 p.m., at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 300 S. Caldwell Street, Salisbury, North Carolina. Interment: Memorial Park Cemetery, Salisbury.
