Mrs. Wendolyn Jefferies Walker, 70, of Statesville Blvd; passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020. Born November 7, 1949 in Queens, New York to the late John D. Jefferies Sr. and Geneva L. Jefferies. Mrs. Walker was educated in the public schools of Rowan County. Her last employment was GDX, Salisbury. She last attended Wesley Chapel Holiness Church, Mt. Holly.
She was preceded in death by brothers Raymond Jefferies, John D. Jefferies, Jr., Billie Joe Jefferies; sisters Mamie Jean Jefferies, Geraldine J. Belton.
She leaves precious and loving memories to her children Wendy W. Blackwell of Belmont, Robert J. Walker, Jr. (Rhonda), Granite Quarry, Travis D. Walker of the home, Peter D. Walker (Ruby), Salisbury, Tonya M. Walker, Salisbury, Chandra C. Walker, Mooresville, Jonquil R. Walker, Sr., grandson, Salisbury, reared in the home. Brothers, Frederick L. Jefferies (Shelia) of Jacksonville and Alan L. Jefferies (Mamie) of Rocky Mount; sisters, Katherine Rhodes of High Point, Gloria Rankin (Johnny) of Salisbury, Debra Gibson (Donnell) of Salisbury, and Sandra Gail Jefferies of Woodleaf; Twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Service: Family private, Friday, April 24, 2020, 12 Noon, at New Life Community Church, 118 East Spencer, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Boone-Carroll Funeral Home is assisting the Walker family. Online condolences may be made at boone-carrollfh.com
