Mr. William (Willie) Edward Chambers, age 64, the son of the late George Alllen Chambers and Esther Rosetta Cowan Chambers, was born March 12, 1953 in Cleveland, North Carolina. He departed this life on, Sunday, February 11, 2018.
He attended R.A. Clement School in Cleveland, North Carolina. He was self-employed as a Construction Worker. He attended Mt. Calvary Holiness Church in Statesville, North Carolina. He enjoyed doing home projects, working on cars, painting and spreading the Word of the Lord.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Corine Chambers, Georgia Ann Rankin, Julia Ann Chambers, Ethel Neely, Pastor Minnie Rhyne and Susie Smith; brothers, Arthur Cowan, Frank, James, and Joe Lee Chambers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Leila Cuthbertson Chambers; Sons, Minister Shane Daniels, Spencer, NC, and David Chambers, Asheville, NC; Sisters, Kathleen Chambers Hill (Henry), Greensboro, NC, Diane Chambers, East Spencer, and Rhonda Ellis-Horne, Salisbury, NC; Brother-in-Law Elder Ronnie Rhyne, Macon, GA; Special niece, Rachel Connor, East Spencer, NC; Mother-in-Law, Leila Cuthbertson; Sisters-in-Laws, Beulah Tate (Carson), Ruth Fleming (Conrad), and Toni (Octavius) Ford, Brother-in-Law, Wyatt Cuthbertson, a host of devoted nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held Friday, February 16, 2018, with visitation at 1pm, followed by service at 1:30pm, Trinity Presbyterian Church (USA). Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Salisbury, North Carolina. Boone-Carroll Funeral Home of Cleveland, North Carolina is assisting the Chambers family.
